In 2014, I began to organize thousands of photographs, slides, corporate records and related memorabilia collected by Walbridge over nearly 100 years. The company, a global construction firm in Detroit, was preparing a milestone celebration to mark its centennial in 2016.

The first step is to speak with you and your organization's leaders to discuss how we can help guide your journey. Do you need to develop or update a system of collecting, archiving and protecting documents or photographs? With your input, memoriesman.com will put together a master inventory list of all historical assets under your control. This includes board meeting minutes, annual reports, financial ledgers, memorabilia, advertisements and commercials, photographs, slides, film and video of projects or creations. This helps us gauge if additional research and external resources are required to round out your story in time for your company anniversary.
Once key information is gathered, we will develop and present a detailed plan showing how we will proceed with research, asset management, digitization and transfer of print photos, slides, negatives, films and videos. We provide cost estimates on these items, as well as content creation, display and/or exhibit production, and project management.
Once an agreement is reached, we provide you with a project schedule showing a monthly breakout of key activities as well as major deadlines leading up to your milestone celebration. Then, we get moving and keep you posted through weekly meetings (in-person or by video conference) throughout the life of the project.
